Kana Nishio and Boram Lee are on a journey of developing self-cognification. Hailing from Tokyo and South Korea respectively, the two artists experienced changes of self-identity in reacting to the new environment of Hong Kong.
Prologue
The work documents their exploration of the city and how cultural differences, language and problems of attitude affect their involvement with the surroundings. The installation documents how Hong Kong influenced the artists and vice versa. A beginner does not stay a beginner forever, a lot can and will happen over the course of three months.
